Eat. Pray. Love.
Still reading Eat. Pray. Love. thought I'm not much farther with it. I'm on page 53 and I still don't like it. But I'm determined to finish it anyway. She's been complaining since page one and it hasn't stopped yet. When people told me to read it they said it was very uplifting -- it's not uplifting yet, and I generally don't like sappy books anyway. We'll see.

I'm kinda there with you in your struggle to finish this book. I had high expectations for this one (I expected to be uplifted and reach something zen-like); maybe I would have finished the book thinking that - but I never got that far.
ReplyDeleteI commend you for personally challenging yourself to finish reading it. Very likely you'll reach a point in the book that it will no longer be "work" to keep reading. In any case, it will be nice to have finished the book and be able to have intelligent conversations with the many others who have read it.
